SMART Cookies
The SMART Cookies group has developed over the past two years from an Independent Living Skills group that was supported by V2 Project Workers with Dorset v, our youth volunteering project.
The project is now run by Frances Anderson, a qualified SENCO Teacher who until recently taught at Thomas Hardye School, Dorchester. The group has recently received funding through UNLtd a Social Enterprise Charity. Group member Michael Taylor was supported by Fundraising Officer Aimee Malcolm to apply to UNLtd and was successful in attracting funding to help with project costs, tarnsport and training.
The SMART Cookies group have planned a range of activities for the next term including a Cake Baking Master class with DYA President Pam Seaton, a morning Geocaching in Dorchester, a cooking session with Sally Knight from the Dorset Food Health Trust and a volunteering session with Dorset Countryside at Thorncombe Woods outside Dorchester.
The SMART Cookies are very proud to be supporting St Mary's Church, Bridport with their Christian Aid Lunch on Friday 23rd March and the Mayor of Dorchester at her Civic Day at the Borough Gardens House in Dorchester on the 3rd May 2012.
