Get Involved Current Appeals Advice Information Guidance (Routes) Despite its affluence, good schools and access to health services, life is not easy for all young people living in and around Dorchester. As a charity, we are continuously looking for funding to provide the support and help needed by over 180 different young people each year. The support we are asked for ranges from various health issues, both mental and physical; problems remaining in education or accessing further education; finding work, CV writing, and interview techniques; finding accommodation, avoiding homelessness, and support working with housing providers and landlords; and help with debt and debt management. We aim to be available when we are needed through a drop-in service, with appointments available to book for more in-depth advice. However in order to do this we need to raise over £40,000 per year to provide this vital support for young people, when they pluck up the courage to ask for our help. If you recognise any of the issues we are helping young people work through, or want to ensure life is better for those who are struggling we would be very grateful for any donation. So you know where your support would go – £5 would help us provide a food parcel to a young person without enough money for basic food £10 would mean they could also access a hot shower and washing and drying machines £15 would give 1 hour one-to-one time with a worker to look at the problems they are facing and work together to put a plan in place to find a way through. Donate Information learnt by many young people from family, teachers and friends is not available to those who are living on the extremes, who attend Routes. If you are able to help with a one off donation or can give on a regular basis please hit the donate button. Thank you for your support.
